About Us
It all began in 2007 in Jam Tse Dhargyey Ling Buddhist Centre in Whangarei.
After the monkβs Sand Mandala tour of New Zealand some boxes of Tibetan incense and prayer flags were left over.
βWhat if we use them to start a charity shop with 100% of the profits going to the Buddhist Centre?β
So we did.
Before we knew it the shop grew into a true treasure trove of exotic goods from India,Thailand, Nepal and locally made products.
Always with ethical trading in mind, all goods are handpicked from Tibetan refugees, artisans and suppliers we know, from places we have been to, and production methods we have seen.
Besides books, prayer flags, Tibetan incense, and other Dharma goods, the shop offers a lovely experience of being surrounded by colourful and natural clothing and accessories; exquisite silver, brass and costume jewellery; beautiful smelling incense, oils and body products; exciting homewares and gifts; and soothing sounds.
We also hold Guided Meditations, Beginners Meditation Classes, Learning about Buddhism and Public Talks on different Buddhist Topics in our specially created Meditation Space.
We are situated at:
